Dream Job

What do you want to do in life?

These are some of the questions I get asked a lot and I never seem to have the answers. Sometimes people think that I'm stupid or there's something wrong with me for not knowing what I want. But I don't think so. The way I see it is that to know what you truly want as a person you must a least know yourself to an extent. And if you tell me you know what you want without knowing yourself, then you're not just lying to me, but you're also lying to yourself. But hey, identity crisis is for another topic so let me tell you a little bit about what my dream job looks like.

To begin with, I'm so fascinated by humans stories and honestly one day I just want to travel the world and meet people and get to know them... especially those people who generally don't get to have their stories told. Those people who have powerful and unique stories.

I believe that just because someone is marginalized is more of a reason to deal with their story with the most sincerity and severity. It's that simple. I just want to make what I love without giving into the demands of anything and really just making powerful stories.

But at the same time, I can't comprise my deen so InshaAllah I hope that Allah sends someone is into my life who likes traveling and these sort of things. Just living a simple life. Hahaha, I know it seems unrealistic but I think everything is achievable if you are strong-willed and have support from those who love you. Family, friends etc.

So yeah, I hope this answers all the questions above and my interests might change as I get to learn more about myself. Right now this is how it's.
