A year in review | 2017

The year is coming to an end and as always, we are all looking back regretfully for not doing all the things we planned to do. As for me, I have never been that kind of person who throws up unrealistic new year promises which are never gonna happen. (though I still have a lot of unfinished business)

So, 2017 was great for me. I am not gonna lie there were ups and downs but overall it was great. I managed, to finish college with excellent grades, got into my first choice university although I ended up not going to. I travelled to many places within London, met amazing people, heard so many inspiring stories and overall I just felt happy.

Also, my friend and I decided to support independent filmmakers this year and that worked out well because we've seen a lot of indie films and honestly, every film was just amazing. There's something about indie films that make you feel something and every story is genuine and you can tell that it has been made with love and a lot of thought and effort went into it. The small budget and the unknown characters just bring the film to life. It is so raw, relatable and almost real. honest to God, I am so inspired and motivated by those films and actually, I am considering to make short films myself.

Lastly, don't worry if you feel like you haven't met your targets. Just know that everyday is a perfect day to get going on and make your dreams and goals come true.
With that being said, I am not against the idea of setting up new year's resolutions, but I am just worried about having very high expectations to just disappoint myself at the end of the year. To be honest, 2017 was amazing! and a lot happened but let's make 2018 even better. Because new year means always some new adventures. So get crazy and have fun.
